I found this bottle of Sparkling Spice Room spray at Tuesday Morning- the brushed metal finish is so pretty and it smells just like Thanksgiving should! (Well, Dessert anyway)
Layered Elements Tags are a great way to punch up a simple box! Taking a bit of extra time and coordinate pieces from several die sets makes for stepped up elements. This tag is a striking addition I think. I stamped the pumpkin in Tuxedo Momento Black in, colored with Stampin’Blends then topped that with Wink of Stella for all over shimmer.
This view shows the box with scent spray inside – notice where the Pumpkin image is in relation to the bottom of the box. The ‘top’ of the box rests right on top of the bottle.
Hmmm… photography is a tricky thing- what appears to be spots- on the box between the tag and the pumpkin- is actually very pretty gilded distressing. I used the Delicata Gold ink pad {now retired} direct to paper technique as a way to add some shimmer to this box. I used a white ribbon that is no longer available- good substitutions this year would be the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon or White Crinkled Seam Binding.
The photos just do not do this project justice.
This photo shows the relation of the height of scent spray to box without a gift in it. The pumpkin is adhered so that the bottom edge ‘hangs-off’ the box lid and become a ‘stop’ for the lid to rest upon. So that if your gift should be shorter than the box base – the pumpkin does what it is designed to do and stops the box lid from being level to the base bottom.

This fun box was in my head the week before the brilliant box designer Julie DiMattio of The Paper Pixie aired her Facebook Live on August 30, 2019. She created a box very similar to this one yet her box lid went inside the box base while my box lid design slides over the base. Both boxes rely on the gift inside to be the ‘stop’ for the lid. Without the tall room spray inside this box the lid slides completely down and is flush with the box base making it perfect for any height of narrow tall gift.
