Hello Stampers!
It’s been too long since I’ve posted a fun crafty project!
This super fun and incredibly adorable card and scissor charm tutorial went out to all my subscribers this evening! Back in April I did a very long Facebook Live showing how to do the Shrink Plastic portion of this project.
The newsletter tutorial has much more detail and many more photographs.
I will share a few on this blog post- if you would like the full tutorial- send me an email or click that subscribe button!
I used Shrink Plastic, Stazon Jet Black ink, these adorable snail images and Stampin’ Blend Markers to color directly onto the plastic!
Some fussy cutting and a blast with a heat tool and this adorable tiny version of the snail is born!
So much cuteness factor!!
I stocked up last Hobby Lobby run- I grabbed some Mini Silver Lanyards and
2 packages of Shrink Plastic and I will be ready to have more fun in the craft room!
The Jewelry Shoppe item ‘Mini Lanyards’ are the findings that attach the shrink plastic charm to your scissors.
These were a really good find at my local Hobby Lobby store- they have lobster claws already attached.
Making this crafty project even easier!
The completed Snail-A-Lope Square Card!
The scissor charm is tucked inside that front flap on the pocket pouch.
This is a 4″ x 4″ quick and simple card.
No fancy frills here- just an adorable pouch on a square card base with a fun ribbon closure!
I made a super simple DIY envelope for it too:)
PS: extra postage is required on this size/shape card plus the added bulkiness with the scissor charm inside.
Check with your local Post Office before mailing!
Card Measurements:
- Basic White Thick card base: 8″ x 8″ score at 4″
- Pocket pouch: Designers Series Paper: 3 1/2″ x 7 1/4″ scored at 1/2″ & 3 1/8″
- DIY Envelope: High Quality Copy paper 8 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
