Going, Going…Soon

This phrase “Going, Going.. Soon” applies to a whole lot of products!

Sad to see some go but at the same time, it’s exciting to see what’s new.

Today’s FYI*F ~ Find Your Inspiration Friday features outgoing die sets

used as a repeating feature for card fronts.

Making the one element be the texture and the focus of the card.

Going, Going... Soon

This designs for these three cards don’t really fall into the quick and easy ( Q & E) category

because the die cutting does take time.

However, once you get all the pieces cut the cards come together quick!

Making it a superb work ahead card.

DIY Car Ride Card Pack

I like having pieces done ahead to bring on car rides.

I chuck everything into an empty Paper Pumpkin box and it’s ready to grab.

Add in a card fronts, scissors glue, and a ziplock bag for scraps and away you go.

Let’s get to cardmaking!

Measurements:

  • Card Base: Standard A2 size 4 1/4″ x 11″  or  5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″

  • Card Fronts:  4″ x 5 1/4″

  • Dies: Repeated single shape

    • each card uses repeats of die cuts from one set: Tasteful Labels Dies

  • Denim & Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbons

  • Sentiment: Paper Pumpkin February & March Stamp Sets

Pre-cutting a stack of card fronts is a great way to streamline your card making efforts.  I like to keep a stack of Very Vanilla & Basic White layers ready in a container.

This is my card base & work in progress bin.

Pre-Cut Card Bases & Layers

I found this fun acrylic container as a ‘lucky find’ while out shopping a couple of years ago- I can’t remember now where I found it.   Here is a link to a similar item on Amazon.

Going, Going...Soon Card 1

Today’s inspiration for all three cards is the Tasteful Labels Dies.

It’s a super versatile die set and I’ve paired it with some outgoing ink & ribbon.

 Here’s how I did it!

Gather Supplies Card 1

I went super simple on this one- white on white cardstock paired

with a bit of Misty Moonlight Ink & Denim Ribbon.

The ink and ribbon are Going, Going…Soon

Use a Ruler to Line things up!

Using a ruler & grid paper is a sure way to line it all up.

I have a the Silicone Craft Mat under the card front for easy

release once the glue has had a few minutes to set up.

Block F makes a great paper weight!

Hold those layers down while the glue sets up!

February Paper Pumpkin Sentiment

Front/Back Sentiment Layer

I grabbed the stamp set from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit for this card.

Let’s use some big die cuts too!

Layering dies for a flip open focal point

I created a front mini card with a magnet closure for this card only with the dies!

March Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set!

This ‘Hello’ mini card made with the dies is super fun!

Minimal time & minimal stamping! Magnets can be sourced on Amazon and Total Element.

Going, Going...Soon Card 2 inside

Both sentiments for this card were from the awesome March Paper Pumpkin!  Did you get it?

Isn’t it great that it has 2 stamp sets in it?  I love these  greetings! The size is awesome!

Going Going…Soon Card 3

Going Going...Soon Card 3

I die cut a whole bunch of Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper.

10 die cut pieces are used on this card front.

 Gather those card supplies!

Going Going...Soon Card 3

Lay the die cut pieces out on the Silicone Craft Mat before gluing!

Here’s that Block F paper weight again.

This works so well.

Time to trim the excess.

There is enough overhang to save for a notecard!

Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon custom colored

with Mossy Meadow Stampin’Blend Marker makes for a perfect accent.

Load up the back with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The card below is linked to another fabulous example of beautiful Designer Series paper that has gold accents.

It has retired out but the large Birthday Greeting stamp used on it is part of the Last Chance 2022 list!

It’s a good one- hop out to that blog post to see it!

The sentiment layer is another of the same die cut but in Very Vanilla Cardstock.

Paired with one of the sentiments from March Paper Pumpkin inked in Mossy Meadow ink.

The pearl accent is a ‘boo-boo’ cover custom colored with Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend Marker.

I think the sentiments in the March Paper Pumpkin are super!
