FYIF: Tear Off Series Part 2

Welcome to the second in the Tear Off Series.  I have chosen 6 simple topics to spread out some inspiration through the month of October November for Friday FYIF blog articles.  I began this series on September 30th and truly lost momentum.

Which had me taking several weeks off from blogging last month.

Tear off Friday Blog Series

Picking up this blog series of topics will sure help me get through the busy month that November is sure to be!

Today, let’s talk about something many of us won’t put an emphasis on

during the holiday season and sometimes at all: Self Care.

In today’s post I’m going to share some cute images and a fun seasonal gift idea that you can buy extras of- to gift and to use for yourself as part of your holiday ‘be good to you’ gifting.

It really is a gift when we spend time to taking care of ourselves!

FYIF: "Tear Off Series"

Let’s talk about a few ways you can do some self-care.  This topic means different things to everyone – I would be able to talk this up for a very long post but I’m as guilty as the next gal about not doing these.

Click the image above to take you to Part one of this blog series!

Teresa's Topic: Self Care

So I consider this a self chat as well. (snicker, snicker)

Here are a few quick and simple ideas I’ve snagged onto that should be fairly easy to blend into your busy.

Self Care Ideas

Let’s start at top right so we can do some crafting – cuz, ya know I’m all about that!

Face Mask & Skin Care

I found these fun giftables in the Health & Beauty section at Target – I thought they would make great stocking stuffers.  Then the Friday Light Bulb came on and I decided to bring them into this blog series. Let’s doll them up to make them gift ready!

Let's make a Tag

Gift tags are alot of fun to make.  The Celebrate with Tags Bundle makes this very quick.

 One die makes two tags:)

Let's make snowflakes

By saving the die cut portion and holding the snowflakes over for another project – I have an instant stencil.   I’m using the silicone mat and blending brushes to make lovely soft white snowflakes on the background of this tag.

DIY Snowflake Stencil

Let’s put it all together.

Tag Assembly.

I bought this lightweight silver & gold twine a few years ago for Christmas Ornaments & Tags at Hobby Lobby.

This makes adding a touch of silver or gold to your projects quick and simple.

Close up:)

Someone on your Holiday list will be so happy!

Ok, back to the big topic of Self-Care.

Here are the rest of my ideas in cute images.

I hope you will snag on to one of these and give yourself some special care this weekend.

Self Care: Rest Time

Whichever word you choose to apply to Rest Time- It has so much value in just taking time to breathe!

Get Creative with Pals

Taking time to get crafty with pals.

Have you heard the phrase ” crafting is therapeutic ” ?

It is! Ask any stamper and they will confirm!!

Get some excersize!

Here is another topic of self-care that I am talking to myself.

I work a sit-down job and need more of this worked into daily habits!

 I hope you will to!

It’s a good #2023Goal!

Chocolate: It's a Food Group! It’s a Food Group! Well, Teresa thinks so!

Dark Chocolate has excellent antioxidant properties and as women we know that

chocolate and crafting go really well together.  Two self-care tips in one sitting!

Journaling as a Self Care journey.

Journaling as a Self Care Practice.

I don’t personally do this, but as I was researching Self-Care tips

several articles came up on this as a quality mental exercise as part of a healthy self-care routine.

If you journal regularly, I would love you to drop a comment below

and share what you find most rewarding about this as part of your healthy self care practices.

Self Care: Social Media Detox

Self Care: Social Media Detox

This could be a dicey subject as I’m blogging and will post to Instagram and Facebook:)

So.. having said that, I will say- enjoying the mindlessness of simple scrolling has value and taking a break from Social Media has value as well.  Setting that phone, tablet or laptop aside to engage in any other activity even if your first practice is just that normal hour or two that you would normally jump into the scrolling – will make such an impact on our days.

Another #2023Goal of mine!

To wrap this post up – I want to share some love with ya…  Our days as women, professionals, mothers, professional mothers, aunts, grammies, our lists and tasks take up a great deal of our mindful moments.  Factoring in self care isn’t a fad, it’s a practice we should come to enjoy and embrace.

I hope this off the norm blog article has given you some encouragement, some love and some smiles!

Next week the blog “Tear Off Series” continues!

See you then!
