Find Your Inspiration Fridays!
Mini Loaf Wrap with Carrying Handle
Edition #2
I love this idea- really, it’s what all demonstrators do – right? Share Inspiration – yes- but, I really like it when every once in a while unusual things or things that don’t seem like they would translate to a papercrafting project come to life. Enter Find Your Inspiration Fridays Blog Series- share with me in this journey as I look beyond the catalog for inspiration! I would love for this to become an Inspiration Interactive Series!
Share with me your inspired ideas and they will pop into this blog series! Send me an email message or a comment on the home menu button! I can’t wait to see your comments and your inspiration photos!
Watch for this info-graphic on Fridays to know that a post has gone up and hop over here to the blog to see what I’ve come up with this week!
This weeks (it’s never too early for Holiday fun) inspiration is from Whole Foods. A couple of months ago while doing the weekly produce shopping, I came across these adorable tiny kraft paper loaf baking pans and I thought ….ooooh these are going to be so mini-adorable for the holiday season! Perfect that Stampin’Up! has a Kraft Paper Pack and an adorable Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper in the new Mini-Catalog.
{ Please forgive the photography in this post – the room I normally take all my photos in is in disarray right now and I took these photos at night. Not the best time of day in my living room…}
The Kraft Paper Pack is 6″ x 6″, it’s perfect for layering or mini projects like this. I kept it simple because the holiday season needs quick and easy projects. This one is just right for door drop deliveries!
This is how it’s done:
-
6 x 6 Kraft Paper score at 3 3/8″ from both sides – for this size loaf pan you need a centered 1 1/4″ base for the loaf to fit into.
-
Cut 2 strips 2 3/4″ wide- keep the left over 1/2″ for the handle.
-
Add some fussy cut embellishments from the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP pack.
-
The strip of plaid is from the same DSP pack: 1 1/4″ x 2 3/4″
-
Use the ribbon punch Detailed trio punch to create a handle slot. By punching in the middle of the scored area then sliding punch left & right of that first hole to create a wider opening for the handle to slide into.
-
Score either end of 1/2″ Kraft Cardstock slide it into the slots and glue to underside.
-
2 pcs of ribbon 13″ long- colored with a Stampin’Blend Marker. I used Dark Poppy Parade. I chose the stamp set Perfectly Plaid- simply because it was on my desk and I love how the saying uses the word ‘wrapped’ ! It fits right in with my project 🙂 really any holiday or even food gift related sentiment you want to use will work great on this.
-
Finished Measurements Include Bread loaf apx 4 1/4″w x 5″t
Tip: This project could easily be modified with larger paper loaf baking dishes- once you size up larger than a mini- loaf pan you’ll have to bump up to 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock or 12 x 12 DSP. The process for creating a wrap for larger loaves is the same: Measure the base of your loaf pan, decide how large you want your ‘wrap’,then go from there.
I found a small batch recipe on Pinterest for Banana Bread- it was simple to whip up and only needed one banana! Perfect for Tiny Treats. ( also perfect for when the craving to bake hits so that there is only a tiny amount to nosh on). Check out this blog – Christina Lane ‘Dessert for Two’ here is a link for you to pop over and check out this recipe. https://www.dessertfortwo.com/banana-bread/
I will do more of these as the season draws nearer with different size loaf pans!
Watch for these here on the blog probably in October.
The products in the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite on pages 8-10 of the Mini Catalog are really great! I like the quality & feel of the Kraft Paper I used in this project, the Designer Series Paper Pack is alot of fun! It has several sheets with large images that make fussy cutting easy. A fellow demonstrator said “hey, I won’t have to bake cookies this year- I will make Gingerbread DSP cookies instead!”
I think that’s a brilliant idea!

What a cool idea! I do love a mini loaf and have been thinking about baking some for coworkers!
