Today, I’m not featuring a Mailbox Makeover – today is one of my favorite topics… Chocolate!
Let’s make a fun candy treat holder.
The chocolate in our taco is by Lily’s Chocolates.
It’s a stevia based chocolate rather than sugar and the tortilla is ink blended cardstock so neither
will derail your new year’s goals!
All designed to pair with the new Taco Fiesta Stamp Set from the Mini Catalog!
This project is featured today on Facebook Live – I will include a link below for you to hop over to Facebook to view it.
Well, I tried to do Facebook Live today.
Technology was not my friend. Issues with webcam program integrating with my MacBook. I think my MacBook (I don’t think it’s all that old and I like it) is just one year version older than the newest technology updates etc… so things aren’t playing nice together.
Hopefully I can find a workaround soon! Alrighty – onto today’s fun project.

Coloring these fun chile pepper images is super easy using the watercolor pencils as a dry coloring tool. No water needed- I used both a blending stump and a Stampin’Up! Blending Pen. I wasn’t sure which look I wanted so I tried both. In today’s video I show you the difference. In this application – the results are very subtle and don’t show up well in the photos.
Neither are required as the watercolor pencils pigments blend together pretty well as a dry application without the need for a blending tool – the blending stump when used like a ‘pencil’ over the surface of the image make the completed coloring appear shiny, the blending pen activates the watercolor properties of the pigment to truly blend together the color.
To use watercolor technique: stamp the images with watercolor safe ink like Momento Tuxedo Black onto either shimmery white cardstock or watercolor paper. Even a Multi-Media paper will work well in this type of project.
I chose a dry medium so that I could work on one 1/2 sheet of cardstock for the entire project.

Lily’s Chocolates are featured into today’s project! I reduced my sugar intake a few years ago and have loved these chocolates since. Their story is a good one- it’s now available in a variety of stores even Walmart. The above image links you out to their website- click to read up on it!
When you click the banner above- it will take you over to my webshop and a convenient shopping cart filled with all the items used from Stampin’Up! in today’s project. To remove the products you don’t want or need – uncheck those items.
Be sure to add the host code to your order!
I will include a hand stamped thank you along with the months M3 goodie.
Thank you for hopping onto my blog to view this fun project. The photo’s are brief – no process pictures as the Chocolate Taco was planned to be demonstrated on Facebook Live. As soon as I get the webcam workaround in place I will hop onto Facebook.
