Friday Fun & Let’s Get Polished
Happy Friday!
Let’s have some girly, polish & crafty kind of Fun. Today’s FYI*F* is inspired by finding the perfect neutral nail polish that just happens to perfectly match a Designer Series Paper!
As well, the nail polish was on clearance!
The crafty planets align!!
It’s time to make a box!
I kept this simple by recreating a box that happens to fit the nail polish perfectly!
Using day to day items to be inspired in your crafting makes 3D projects much easier. I used Crumb Cake Cardstock by Stampin’Up!© for the box base. Color coordinate your box to the nail polish color!
Practicing a new box with plain typing paper is a great way to copy boxes.
The above photo has a link out to another blog post that I recreated a Mary Kay box
makeover I did back in March. This would fit a longer fingernail file and two nail polishes!
Tri-fold angled tag & file holder.
Measurements:
Box: Cardstock Size Needed – 7″ L x 7 3/4″ H
Finished box: 3 1/2″ Tall x 1 5/8″ Square
Scoring:
With 7″ side on trimmer ruler edge: score at 1 5/8″, 3 1/4″, 4 7/8″, 6 1/2″
Rotate to 7 3/4″ side: score each end at 5/8″ and 2 1/8″
Note: Short tabs are 1″ from the 2 1/8″ score line.

Now to doll it up girly style! Fussy cut a few flowers, a sentiment, some ribbon, a min card attached to the back and this gift is done.
I used a patterned paper to inspire the finish design and used the same items carried over in the mini card.
This is a tri-fold to allow a tag and coordinating fingernail file to be slipped in to complete the gift.

It was alot of fun to make! I think it would make a great addition to a spa gift for your best girl pal or a unique door drop for a friend who needs a pick-me-up!
Happy Weekend Stampers!
Be well and have an inky good time!
