FYI*F* Friday Weather Woes
It’s “Find Your Inspiration Friday” aka FYI*F* time again. Today’s inspiration is a weather woe!
How does a week get away from us so FAST?
It’s already Friday and a wintery, cloudy one here. But an inspired one for sure!
I borrowed this fun stamp set to complete this card.
I needed a ‘so much’ sentiment and didn’t have one in my collection.
Boy, did this fun set ever spark the light bulb!
This font looks so great with the ‘Amazing Thanks’ die set! The colors and patterned paper for this card are Evening Evergreen and a recent promotion Designer Series Paper.
The hexagon shaped dies are from the die set: ‘Beautiful Shapes‘ found in the current Mini Catalog.
Now, onto today’s project inspired by the weather woes. It’s snowy and cold here today and this borrowed stamp set is so cheerful that I just had to sit down and create a fun, colorful and cheerful friendship card.
Mini Interlocking Gatefold Card
I need to make a stack of card swaps for my upcoming stampers club night so I’m pairing that need with today’s wanna make something floral, funky & fun. Two inky birds.. right?
Club card swap theme for March is Interlocking Gate Fold cards. This crafty project has been featured in my February subscribers monthly free tutorial newsletter and on an hour long Facebook Live. Click the above ink pad photo to link over to Facebook to catch that demonstration- it’s a long one combined with coloring and how-to on the interlocking card feature.
Today’s post isn’t a how -to on this card making technique – my goal today is to share a whimsical idea with the In Symmetry stamp set and bring some color to my Weather Woe Kind of Day.

Interlocking Circles for Mini Gate Fold Card
I used adhesive sheets on the circular frames to increase durability of interlocking pieces.
Stamp & cut in prep for card swap!
Now I can assemble when I have a bit of car ride time!
Time to put it all together.
Dry fit the interlocking pieces so you know where to put the adhesive!
I added a notch out in this card – I’m not sure it’s necessary but thought I would give it a try 🙂
Add the coordinating sentiment inside with Gorgeous Grape ink.
“You are perfectly unique” and this card is perfectly mailable! Well, after you make a coordinating envelope!
This envelope needs a template made for it!
Check back in the coming week and I will edit this post:) I am simply running out of time today!
Follow any of the previous DIY Envelope template concept articles that I’ve posted in the meantime:)
I’m ready for more card making!!
I hope the stamp club ladies love these!
