Find Your Inspiration Friday Tiny Teacher Gift
Teachers deserve a hand and they love tiny teacher gifts too! Hand Lotions are fun to give and to receive. I like buying really nice, high quality mini’s of unique lotions. It’s such a great way to know whether it’s worth buying a big size of and to keep in lots of places, office, car, and purse.
Here is today’s inspiration, this mini lotion was found at Target. It’s a seasonal scent but its a rich lotion that is scent forward but not overpowering nor lingering. This is a lovely holiday scent.

Isn’t this cute!
Gather some supplies
I am using the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories and More Card Pack for inspiration as well.
I gathered Cinnamon Cider Cardstock, Basic White Thick Cardstock, a scrap of Gold Foil Cardstock, Whisper White Seam Binding, Real Red Dark Stampin’Blend Marker, Bone Folder, Paper Snips and an office supply punch (1/8″). This is a no stamping project.
I wanted the embellishment simple since it’s a 3 step project. I plan to show how to make this project on Facebook Live Monday Dec. 13 at 3pm. Hope to see you then!

Alrighty, these odd ball measurements are just that- the funny part of it is that I had a sleeve/tray all done and ready for this post- however, a gift card wouldn’t fit.
The lotion was perfect but I really wanted to have the addition of a gift card.
The below trio of quotes is a printable, click the link below the image.
If you are unable to open it or print- leave a request comment on this post or send me a message and I am happy to direct email a copy of this to you!

Assembly is easy!
-
The drawer/tray: put it together same as you would any simple box base. Wedge cut the corner tabs.
-
Using the hole punch template- punch 1/8″ holes for the drawer pull. I used Whisper White Seam binding colored with a Stampin’Blend Real Red Marker. Tape the ribbon into place on the inside ends. Now tape the covers in place to hide the ribbon ends.
-
Sleeve: Put tape on one narrow end, dry fit then peel off tape backers and adhere together forming the simple cardstock sleeve shape.
-
Quote: Punch finger notches in sides, fold and burnish the score lines. I designed this to be a cute cover for the contents inside and easily pulled out allowing items to drop back into drawer.
-
Embellish as you like! I have really enjoyed this set of Memories & More Card Pack. If you’ve not tried them before, I highly recommend them. Versatile, easy to use and very affordable!
EDIT TO POST: Upon completion of this post, I discovered this Gingerbread & Peppermints Card Pack is sold out. The Designer Series Paper is still available as of this writing and one could achieve much the same look with that paper pack. The paper will retire soon – this Mini Catalog ends at the end of the month to make way for the next release!
I love this project!
If you are new to box making and want to give a gift that LOOKS like you created something amazing yet it’s really simple- give this one a go! Don’t forget to check in with me on Facebook Live Monday Dec. 13 at 3pm. I will show you how truly simple this one is – oddball measurements and all!
