Facebook Live Demonstration

I demonstrated this Snowflake Wishes Card with non – traditional ink colors last night.
Who says you can’t get a snowflake card made with unusual colors?
I think this card hits a trend: shabby chic (? still a thing?), colors that are slightly leaning into the farmhouse soft taupes/gray /white style. Yes! I like it!
Too, the tags are removable by your recipient to use on holiday gift giving!
Tailor Made Tag Die set is perfect for quick and simple tag making!
#holidays2021
This card comes together quickly when you batch ready all the pieces.
Cardmakers Tip: Precut each layer for mass assembly card making. Don’t start to finish each card that you are doing for the holidays. For this card I will cut all the card bases in one crafting session to the count that I want. Next session: die cut all the tags I will need. 3rd crafting session will be cutting & taping all the band pieces. 4th session: sit down and do all the stamping at one go. Final session: assembly line. Get your family involved with this part!!
Facebook Live Tip: Cut the strips you need for the tag bands – size 1/2″ x 1 3/4 ” score on either end at 1/4″ place a cut piece of Tear n Tape adhesive. If you are stamping on the bands- stamp ON the taped side:) I know it seems backwards but trust me – I made that error for you:). Also, don’t remove the backers until you are ready for assembly.
One more photo of the finished card before I wrap this post up- I had intended to do some close up shots but time got away from me. I hope you will hop over to Facebook Live to see me make this card.
I showed some other fun square card examples too.
Finished Card: 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
Tag Die x 3
“Belly Bands” x 3 – I used these to add a layer of dimension on card as well as to serve as function to hold the tags in place so that when your friends or family receive this holiday card in the mail – they can pull the tags out and use them on their gifts. Two in One! Love that!
Ribbon: 3″ ea x 3 – I used Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding with Light Smoky Slate Stampin’Blends Markers to color it to coordinate with the ink colors used.
Inks: Gray Granite and Smoky Slate
Techniques: 2nd image stamping and custom colored ribbon.
Supplies used on this project
Note: You can easily stretch your supplies and crafty budget to make this card! Eliminate the die cutting and make your own tags quickly and easily with your paper trimmer and paper snips!
